Volunteer!

Ride With Pride  has several different volunteer opportunities and is a fun way to get involved with the community!

As a non-profit, volunteers are a crucial part of our program and help keep our program running in a myriad of ways.

We have many volunteers who help with fundraisers, serve on a committee,  as well as help in the barn, keep our clients safe, and our horses happy. We always welcome help with lessons with our clients, and with keeping our barn clean and horses well groomed.

Our lessons would not be possible without the help of our volunteers. One rider may use up to 3 volunteers for assistance. In one lesson with 4 riders we could use up to 12 volunteers! Volunteers work one on one with our instructors to insure the best experience for our clients and our volunteers. Our lesson volunteers may help as a side walker or a leader. Side walkers help riders stay balanced and focused, while a leader helps maintain the horse while the student learns to become a strong rider.

Are you interested in working with horses and clients?

With many different one-hour lessons throughout the week, volunteers with busy schedules wanting to work around the horses and clients can still find time to help, so please don’t hesitate to find out more information about our lesson schedule.

We would love to work with you and show you how you can help out our program!

Volunteers helping in the barn must be 13 years or older. No horse experience is required but a volunteer training session must be completed by all new volunteers prior to volunteering. Volunteer training sessions are held before the start of every session. Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator under the Contact Us page for more information or email volunteer(at)ridewithprideva.com!
