Waivers will be available to download soon.  Waivers will also be available at the event.  Please email waivers and Coggins tests to the event coordinator listed below, or bring them with you to the event. 

Michael “Mike” Pendelton started out at Ride With Pride as a volunteer for a community service project for school. He’d muck out stalls, exercise the horses and volunteer in the lessons

of the program. Very quickly found his love for not only horses but for riding as well.  While continuing to volunteer for Ride With Pride for a number of years, he eventually got a full-time job at Cedar Creek Stables starting and riding young horses.

Mike and (many others in the Horse Industry) quickly saw that he had a natural talent for riding. He personally took a liking to 3 Day Event Riding and was set up with one of the World’s Leading International Event Rider, Boyd Martin. Boyd like many others noticed Mike’s talent and passion for riding and took him under his wing in 2013. Starting out as a working student Mike eventually went on to become Boyd’s assistant trainer, riding many of the young event and dressage horses. While Mike has a talent in starting and riding young horses Mike had the drive and desire to compete at the upper levels of Eventing. During his time at Boyd’s, Mike eventually got the ride on a very well-known Thoroughbred, Steady Eddie. Steady Eddie had a number of 5 Star starts under his belt with Boyd and Mike got the ride so “Eddie” could help Mike make the “jump” from the 4-star level to the 5-star level.  Mike and Eddie had three starts at the 5-star level together before Mike retired Eddie from the top levels of Eventing in September 2022.

While Eddie is retired, Mike continues to bring many young horses up the levels. He’s got a real passion for Eventing and a talent for developing young horses so they reach their upmost potential. He enjoys teaching and spreading his knowledge with others who share his passion for horses.
