Ride With Pride is Augusta County’s premier destination for equine-assisted therapies. We offer a nurturing space for individuals aged 4 and up facing intellectual, physical, or emotional challenges. Our programs are designed to unlock the potential within, providing paths to empowerment and healing.
Through the unique connection between horses and humans, we facilitate personal growth and joy. Each ride is more than just a lesson; it’s a step toward overcoming obstacles and achieving milestones in a supportive and inclusive community.
Join us on October 5 and 6th for our Annual Fall Benefit Trail Ride (must bring your own horse!) and spend the day outdoors enjoying the National Forest. Come ride and enjoy a delicious chicken BBQ lunch (lunch included on Saturday only), or just come for the lunch and socialize.
Every contribution brings us one step closer to enhancing our programs and enriching the lives of those we serve.
Join our community of compassionate sponsors who are pivotal in sustaining our therapeutic activities.
Dedicate your time and talents to make a meaningful impact in our organization and the hearts of our riders.
At Ride with Pride, every stride brings us closer to unlocking the immeasurable potential within our riders. But the true strength of our journey lies in the heart of our community – people like you. Whether you’re fueling dreams through donations or lending a hand in our transformative programs, your support paves the way for empowerment, healing, and joy.

*****Update!!***** THIS AREA HAS NOT RECEIVED THE SAME AMOUNT OF RAIN AS OTHER AREAS. THE TRAILS ARE FINE AND THE PARKING AREA IS FINE! Rider space is still available! Online Registration is closed as we will be at the trailhead all weekend, so just come and register at the venue if you would like to come and ride. If you have registered to ride on Saturday (or for the weekend), and would like an EXTRA meal on Sunday, one will be available for $10. Chicken lunch will be available for Sunday riders as well! For those who are riding Sunday only, a meal will now be included in your registration fee!
I would like directions also from James River State park. I google mapped some but I am unsure if they are correct not having an actual address but coordinate numbers.
Can you camp just on Saturday night?
